Nicola Sturgeon in conversation with Akwugo Emejulu: Why We Still March

Join us this December 6th for an exciting evening with Nicola Sturgeon and Akwugo Emejulu, feminist, activist and academic whose research looks at race, class and gender and women of colour’s grassroots activism.
A year since #MeToo reignited across the world, this 16 Days of Action against gender based violence be part of what promises to be a powerful conversation exploring sexism, activism and inequality between two inspiring leaders.
Please arrive at 6.30pm for tea and coffee. The event will start at 7pm promptly.
We want this event to be as accessible as possible. The venue (The Auditorium at the National Museum of Scotland) is fully wheelchair accessible, and we are very happy to arrange British Sign Language (BSL) on advance request. If you have any additional access requests please get in touch in advance and we will provide as much information as possible, and try to make any adjustments required.
The event is £10.50 per person, with an allocation of 40 FREE tickets for anyone on a low income or who cannot afford to attend. Please just contact gillian.harrold[@]womensaid.scot to arrange this (maximum 2 per person), we will not ask any details of your circumstances.
We offer a wide range of training opportunities, drawing nearly 40 years’ experience of working with women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse. We offer specific training to our members, local women’s aid groups, as well as offering learning opportunities for practitioners and policy makers.
