From the start, Scottish Women’s Aid has been about making change.
We want change, we need change, and we are determined to keep fighting for it. Some of the change we need is about improvements to services that women and children use, some of it is about changing attitudes about domestic abuse and ultimately it is about ending domestic abuse.
Working alongside women and children with direct experience of domestic abuse, we have campaigned hard for the changes we want to see; from making sure women experiencing domestic abuse can vote safely to starting a national conversation on image based abuse, from changing the dialogue in the run-up to political elections to influencing a new law on domestic abuse.
We’ve achieved a lot, but there is still a long way to go until women and children live free from fear and domestic abuse.
