Learning and Quality Assurance Co-ordinator

Starting salary: £28,888 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week. Job-share applications will be considered.

Based in Edinburgh with some travel across Scotland

SWA has a unique relationship with its 36 autonomous Women’s Aid member groups that provide specialist domestic abuse services to women, children, and young people across Scotland.

This post is an exciting opportunity for you to lead the work to deliver a programme of training, learning and good practice events for our members and to implement the Women’s Aid in Scotland National Service Standards. You will also be responsible for supporting a portfolio of Women’s Aid groups to review and develop good practice models by delivering a range of tailored support services.

We are looking to recruit someone who will be able to positively engage with our members and has excellent skills to manage and co-ordinate projects.

Closing date: Monday 4th February 2019 at 9 am. Interviews will be held week commencing 18th February 2019.

Manager – Grampian Women’s Aid

Salary: £36,093 – £37,908

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Grampian Women’s Aid (GWA) has delivered domestic abuse services across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire for 40 years. We aim to provide an outstanding level of specialist service provision to support the needs of women, children and young people who have experienced, or are presently experiencing domestic abuse. 

We are looking for an experienced Manager who is committed to ensuring the delivery of high quality services to women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the implementation of Grampian Women’s Aid Strategic Plan in conjunction with the Board of Trustees and the staff team.

Applicants should have management experience within a senior role, have an understanding of the causes and effects of domestic abuse and be committed to working towards a society free from abuse. A driving license and access to a car is essential.

This role is subject to PVG scheme checks.

Survivor Trauma, Abuse and Addiction Worker – Glasgow East Women’s Aid

Salary: £26,742 plus £2,127 out of hours allowance per annum

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Glasgow East Women’s Aid is a small charity delivering a range of high quality services to prevent and respond to domestic violence and abuse against women and children living within the East End of Glasgow. The role of the Trauma, Abuse and Addictions Worker is to support women who are experiencing co-occurring domestic abuse and substance misuse issues. This is a new role for Glasgow East Women’s Aid (GEWA).

GEWA is seeking an individual with a working knowledge of domestic abuse and substance misuse to support this vulnerable group of service users.

An up to date PVG will be required for this role.

Based in Glenrothes, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to FWA workers, management and Board Members and assist with the day to day running of a busy office.  General duties include: Assisting with HR processes, using internal database systems to maintain files, dealing with calls and providing a friendly reception to visitors. Applicants should be computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills.

Children & Young People’s Support Worker – Fife Women’s Aid

Salary: £22,464 – £25,128 (pro rata)

Hours: Part-time, 18 hours per week

Fixed-term post: 9 months Maternity Cover

Fife Women’s Aid are looking for a Children and Young People’s Support Workers for 9 months to cover maternity leave. This role provides practical and emotional support to children and young people with experience of domestic abuse. Candidates should have a good understanding of domestic abuse, have experience in providing direct support and have excellent communication skills.

The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in childcare or other relevant subject, or equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a qualification. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and have the ability to work as part of a team. They will also have a passion for improving the lives of women and children who have experienced abuse.

The post will be based in Glenrothes and will involve travel across all areas of Fife. A PVG check will be requiered.

Domestic Setup Team Worker – Fife Women’s Aid

Salary: £8.75 hourly rate

Hours: Part -time, 26 hours per week (4 days per week)

Based in the Glenrothes area, the worker will provide a deep cleaning and setup service for both temporary accommodation and offices.
2 years’ experience of commercial cleaning is essential, as is access to own transport as the post requires traveling throughout Fife on a regular basis.
